The guest lecture was organized for II-B.E CSE (A&B), IV Semester students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at PPG Institute of Technology. The session focused on understanding logical and physical data models, translating business requirements into structured data models, entity-relationship modeling, database design principles, relational databases, normalization, and SQL implementation. The documented outcomes included designing scalable database structures, normalization decisions, advanced SQL queries involving joins, subqueries and window functions, query performance using indexes and tuning methods, and supporting data warehouses and ETL processes.
