The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at PPG Institute of Technology jointly organized the seminar Foundations and Frontiers: Data Structures and Algorithms. The resource person was Mr. C. B. Veerakumar, CEO & Founder of Codeboosters, Coimbatore. The seminar emphasized the importance of algorithmic thinking, efficient data management, and strong foundations in data structures and algorithms. Topics covered included arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs, searching, sorting, optimization, graph traversal, divide and conquer, dynamic programming, greedy approaches, and approximation algorithms. The seminar also connected these concepts with artificial intelligence, data science, high-performance computing, big data, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The stated outcomes included stronger understanding of DSA, critical thinking about algorithm design and efficiency, interest in advanced research topics, and awareness of interdisciplinary applications.
