Vision and Mission

Vision
To empower the students for succeeding in a changing world to become productive engineers and responsible citizens. 

Mission

MD1 :   To offer student-centered services and support the growth of information literacy, critical thinking, and lifelong learning in the students

MD2 :   To promote the efficient exchange of ideas and to meet communities' evolving knowledge and academic needs.

Objectives

  1. To provide services that enhance the quest for knowledge and intellectual activity.
  2. To create various bibliographies and library pathfinders for easy access and retrieval of information.
  3. To create an atmosphere wherein students and faculty may carry on the learning process enjoyable.

Digital Library

Electronic resources access purpose, 30 systems are available in the Digital Library section. Educational, research and development purpose, users can fully access this facility
Non-book materials such as CDs and DVD acquired/supplied along with the rext/reference books/magazines are also kept in this section.


 Sections

Textbook : Syllabus prescribed text and reference books collection and library users recommended related to their study/ research books are available. All the users can borrow the books based  on their eligibility.
Reference : Reference books, Handbooks, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias and high priced books are organised in this section.

Periodical: Understanding the importance of journals and magazines, for the purpose of research the library has subscribed to 52 printed national journals and magazines of high repute. 

Book Bank Section: Books donated by alumni, library users are kept in this section. All the users are eligible to avail this facility and borrow one book from the Book Bank.  

Motivational & General Books: Self development, motivation and general books are available in this section and all the users can borrow these books.

Rules and Regulations

* Strict Silence should be maintained in the library

* Wearing ID card is mandatory

* Speaking through mobile phone is strictly prohibited.

* User must scan their ID card in the system kept at the entrance during entry as well as exit

* Before leaving the library, all users are required to produce all books and items taken for inspection.

* Library Books must be returned when students/staffs go home on long vocation.

* Magazines and Journals are ordinarily not let out. After reference they must be kept in their respective places

* Users should leave the books on the tables after reading

* Misplacements of books in different shelves in punishable.

* Underliing, scribbling, tearning of pages or any other type of mutilation of books, Journals etc., as well as mishandling or misuse of computers will attract appropriate punishment.

* If any book/journal are taken our of the library without proper entry, serious action will betaken.

* Library materials borrowed must be returned on or before the due date

* All borrowers must settle down any overdue loans before they are permitted to borrow again

* The Library will not accept responsibility for the loss of misplacement of personal belongings

* Open discussion should be avoided in the open reading halls

* Non-academic discussion, meeting should not be conducted in the library premises. Defaulters will be viewed seriously.

* Bags, Helmets, Water Bottles and other eatable items, big handbags, Raincoat Jerkin and causal wears are strictly prohibited inside the library. Users are advised to keep all the above said items in the outside of the library.

* However, the users are advised not to leave, cell phones, purse, money cards etc., in the bags and library is not responsible for the loss or damage of any such items.

* Library users are strictly prohibited from carrying the borrowed and stamped book inside the library after issue of books

* If due date falls on the holiday for the library, the next working day will be taken as the due date.

* Reference books, Newspapers, Magazines, Journals should not be taken out.

* Project Reports, Newspaper and Periodicals are not lending

* Bringing inside or use of eatables, drinking and sleeping in the library are strictly prohibited premises.

* The Competent authority will take necessary action against the users who violate the library rules and regulations
